Dale Hall for mayor
I am proud to support Dale Hall for mayor of Greeley. Having worked closely with Dale in several community leadership roles, I know him to be analytical, thoughtful and forward-thinking.
Dale has lived in Greeley for more than 60 years and he has a deep commitment to our community. His experience is broad and meaningful. From helping establish the Poudre Trail Corridor from its beginning — to supporting the terminal expansion at the Greeley-Weld Airport, Dale has consistently demonstrated leadership that makes a difference.
Experience matters. Dale has served our community in many capacities: as a member of the Colorado Legislature, a Weld County commissioner, a member of the Greeley Planning Commission, and a member of the Greeley City Council. He has a deep understanding of Greeley’s water system, the city’s budget, and the importance of balancing progress with fiscal responsibility.
So many important projects are underway — such as efforts to bring city, county and school district buildings downtown. Dale offers steady leadership and oversight. He knows Greeley, he understands its challenges and opportunities, and he has the proven record to guide our city forward.
I encourage you to join me in supporting Dale Hall as our next mayor of Greeley.

It’s spelled Greeley
I am writing to point out a small but significant correction in the recent article regarding the Aims Community College Board of Trustees.
In the section discussing Rhonda Solis’s appointment, the text reads, “District D covers Greely and one-third of Greeley-Evans School District 6.”
The name of our city is spelled Greeley, with an “e” after the “l.” Given that the city’s name is so integral to our community, appearing in the names of the school district and even the newspaper itself, it’s a detail worth getting right.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and for your continued coverage of local news.

Missing football
Have been a subscriber for years. Really disappointed in your coverage of our local football teams. UNC won their first football game and was even not mentioned.

Others may be culpable in Epstein case
Where were the parents and guardians of the underaged girls that were sexually abused by Jeffery Epstein. Do they bear some culpability too? Absolutely.

Photo ops and false security
Most criminals will operate under the radar in the presence of large numbers of authority figures on the streets. Duh, crime will drop until that pressure is removed from the environment. In the meantime, the world is watching a replay of the Taliban security model in Afghanistan. Any undocumented immigrant who shows themselves in a large city during these ops deserves to be shown the door.
Is it the intent of the government to pay double for protection in cities across the U.S. Just disband the police and let the local Guard units control crime. I believe the Guard will demonstrate less profiling while carrying out their important duty to America the Beautiful.
When the military presence is removed from American cities, those low statistics on crime will return to normal. Time is money for criminals and the loss of temporary income motivates them to make up their short fall. The undocumented immigrants will also resurface.
