San Diego Sheriff‘s deputies have arrested a 44-year-old man on suspicion of deliberately starting a brush fire in Encinitas.
The fire was reported around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 1400 block of Leucadia Boulevard when a witness called authorities.
Deputies from the North Coastal Sheriff’s Station and personnel from the Encinitas Fire Department responded to the scene.
Firefighters quickly put out the blaze and no one was hurt.
Detectives from sheriff’s bomb/arson unit were called to the scene and arrested Lucifer Liam, who was booked into the Vista Detention Facility.
