For those keeping track at home, this puts the Chicago Bulls’ current total salary at $171,597,283. They are well below the luxury tax threshold of $187.8 million, as expected. While their insistence on ducking the tax has been frustrating over the years, sitting this far away from the magic number should be considered a positive this season.

If the Bulls deserve credit for anything recently, it would be their decision to prioritize youth and open up financial flexibility. They opted to trade Zach LaVine for multiple role players on expiring deals. The team will now head into the 2026 offseason with six open roster spots and all of their future first-round picks.
