The report claims that the audit report of the Cricket Association of Uttarakhand claimed that the exorbitant amount was spent to provide the fruits to the players among other reasons.

As per Times of India, the petitioners at the Uttarakhand HC claimed that Rs 35 lakhs out of Rs 12 crores was spent to procure bananas for the state’s players. A single bench helmed b Justice Manoj Kumar Tiwari was hearing the matter filed by Sanjay Rawat and others into the audit report of the Cricket Association of Uttarakhand for 2024/35. The hearing has been scheduled for next Friday (September 19).
“The audit report showed that Rs 6.4 crore was paid towards event management and a total of Rs 26.3 crore was spent on tournaments and trial expenses — up from Rs 22.3 crore in the previous financial year. The petitioners accused the association of embezzling crores of rupees in the name of food expenses,” the report states.
