As per Times of India, the petitioners at the Uttarakhand HC claimed that Rs 35 lakhs out of Rs 12 crores was spent to procure bananas for the state’s players. A single bench helmed b Justice Manoj Kumar Tiwari was hearing the matter filed by Sanjay Rawat and others into the audit report of the Cricket Association of Uttarakhand for 2024/35. The hearing has been scheduled for next Friday (September 19).

    “The audit report showed that Rs 6.4 crore was paid towards event management and a total of Rs 26.3 crore was spent on tournaments and trial expenses — up from Rs 22.3 crore in the previous financial year. The petitioners accused the association of embezzling crores of rupees in the name of food expenses,” the report states.
