Thora Birch, 43, made a rare red carpet appearance for the world premiere of Paul Thomas Anderson's new film, One Battle After Another, on September 8.
For the event, held at the TCL Chinese Theatre, located in Hollywood, California, Birch opted to wear a green and white striped sweater, a pair of black slacks, and wedge sandals. While posing on the red carpet, Birch placed her hands in the pockets of her pants.

While Birch is not in One Battle After Another, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio,Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, and Regina Hall, the actress has had a prolific career. Starting as a child star, Birch has been in major projects, like Hocus Pocus, American Beauty, Now and Then, and Ghost World, per IMDb.
While on a panel for the 2024 Steel City Con, Birch was asked to share who her favorite character was out of everyone she's played. According to Birch, she has a difficult time picking her most preferred role. She explained that each film she's been in has had its pluses and minuses.
"For me, personally, it's impossible to choose the hierarchy because likes or dislikes of each role. Because they are all so different," said Birch during the January 2024 panel. "And sometimes, when I had an experience that maybe wasn't necessarily pleasant, I learned so much from it. Or it helped educate me in a way that helped me grow."
In addition, Birch said she doesn't want to do her characters a disservice by naming a favorite.
"So I feel so connected to all of them that if I feel like I mention one being a preference over another, I feel like I'm hurting that character's feelings. So it's hard to choose," said Birch while on the panel.
She also said while she "relate[s] to almost all of [her] characters," her Ghost World character Enid Coleslaw, "was the closest to" her when she filmed the movie, which was released in 2001.
