Heming Willis' new book The Unexpected Journey: Finding Strength, Hope, and Yourself on the Caregiving Path features reviews and comments from her closest confidants, including Bruce’s three older daughters, Rumer Willis, 37, Scout Willis, 34, and Tallulah Willis, 31, whom the action star shares with ex-wife Demi Moore.

Additionally, Moore, 62, also showed her support for Heming Willis, 49, who opened up about her life as a caregiver and advocate for frontotemporal dementia diagnosis, also known as FTD, research in the book.

The Willis family jointly announced that Bruce had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia diagnosis in February 2023. The announcement came one year after they revealed he had aphasia.
"In frontotemporal dementia, parts of these lobes shrink, known as atrophy. Symptoms depend on which part of the brain is affected," according to The Mayo Clinic. "Some people with frontotemporal dementia have changes in their personalities. They become socially inappropriate and may be impulsive or emotionally indifferent. While promoting her new book, Emma has shared many details about her and Bruce's relationship. While speaking to People on September 4, she revealed that their relationship has "grown" amid his health battle.
“It has meant so much to be able to meet him where he’s at, to enjoy this time with him,” she said about her husband, whom she married in 2009. “Bruce is very present in his body, and there is something so lovely and wonderful about that. He’s not thinking about what happened yesterday or what’s happening in the future. He is very grounded in today.”
