Democrats in Congress have released a copy of the birthday note sent to Jeffrey Epstein that Donald Trump had previously said did not exist.
Lawyers for Jeffrey Epstein’s estate sent Congress a copy of the birthday book put together for the disgraced financier’s 50th birthday, which includes a letter with Trump’s signature.
On Monday, House Oversight Committee members confirmed that they received a copy of the birthday book, which was sent to them after they subpoenaed it last month.
The signed note says: “Happy Birthday – and may every day be another wonderful secret.”
“These are not my words, not the way I talk. Also, I don’t draw pictures,” Trump said at the time, after details of the letter and book were published in the Wall Street Journal.
Trump subsequently filed a lawsuit against the newspaper’s reporters, Journal publisher Dow Jones, parent company News Corp and executives, alleging defamation and saying the letter was “nonexistent.”

A Dow Jones spokeswoman said, “We have full confidence in the rigour and accuracy of our reporting.” Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, didn’t immediately respond to the Wall Street Journal‘s request for comment.
On X, White House deputy chief of staff Taylor Budowich posted several images of Trump’s signature on Monday.
