Mötley Crüe Icon, 66, Shares Unexpected Confession About Rock Star Life

Speaking his truth. Mötley Crüe co-founder Nikki Sixx took to social media to share a surprising message with his fans.

Sixx, 66, began via X, formerly known as Twitter, on Sunday, September 7:

"Looking forward to these ten shows with Motley but also extremely excited about all the other projects I have planned for the future not involving being in a band. Love playing the songs and honestly most of them are very personal to me but being on the road is not for me for too much longer. I have a six-year-old girl to raise and five wonderful older kids and a granddaughter to spend time with."

The bassist, whose real name is Frank Carlton Serafino Feranna Jr., concluded, “The good news is all these new projects ALL involve music. Music will always be my life but the road is old. Being a rockstar is overrated. Being a creative is where it's at. THE future IS EXCITing AND the PAST WAS A BLAST."

Though the post appears on Google’s results page, it seems as though Sixx deleted it from X.

Mötley Crüe, currently comprised of Vince Neil (vocals), Nikki Sixx (bass), Tommy Lee (drums), and John 5 (guitar, who replaced founding member Mick Mars in 2023) have 10 upcoming shows for their Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM.

The shows were originally scheduled for March and April 2025. However, they were rescheduled to allow Neil, 64, to heal from a medical procedure.

    The rescheduled shows will take place on September 12, 13, 17, 19, 20, 24, 26, and 27, as well as October 1 and 3.

Mötley Crüe are best known for songs like “Dr. Feelgood,” “Girls, Girls, Girls,” “Kickstart My Heart,” and “Home Sweet Home.”
