Leave it to Kim Kardashian to divide fans and critics alike. The reality star has created quite the conversation recently as she shared her opinion about homework while appearing on Kai Cenat's Mafiatho 3 livestream.
The mother of four was quick to take sides in the great debate about whether or not school work should be brought home at the end of the day (AKA: homework), coming out decidedly against the practice. And while she had really good reasons for her opinion, a lot of parents and teachers have found themselves on the other side of the argument.

The 44-year-old didn't mince words during her recent podcast appearance, where she defended the importance of free time for her kiddos, telling the host how she believed that eight hours a day was enough time for kids to dedicate to their studies.
“When they come home, they do sports, have a life, spend time with their family,” explained during the interview, which was also livestreamed for fans. “I think that homework should be left for in school.”
People Are Divided About Kim Kardashian's Take on Homework
The comment section of the livestream post was full of messages from people who supported Kardashian's take, sharing their own homework horror stories from their childhoods.

— yoxic (@yoxics) September 2, 2025However, she's not the only Kardashian to have strong feelings about the public education system. In May 2025, Kourtney Kardashian drew some heat after appearing on her sister Khloé Kardashian's podcast, where she boldly asked, "Why do kids [expletive] go to school?," calling the practice "dated."
Her sister agreed on air, and even said that she hoped to homeschool her own children. Fans didn't really appreciate the Kardashian family's response to the public school system, at the time, but it seems like the Skim's founder has more people coming down on her side.
So, that begs the question: Is homework really so hated by adults? Or are our overscheduled children just too busy to continue their schooling after the final bell rings in school? We'll probably have to wait for someone with a background in education to weigh in on the merits of homework, but for now it seems like many people are siding with Kardashian when it comes to the great homework debate.
