Halloween Haunted House - Threshold™, $40 TargetUnknown title
Target shoppers were in for a treat when they stumbled across the Halloween Haunted House by Threshold™. That's because the 2025 re-release of this beloved house features a cool new trick to delight Halloween lovers of all ages: Flickering lights. According to the website, this version of the haunted house now has flickering lights. Previously, the lights stayed on the whole time the house was running, which some people didn't really care for.
Apparently Target took customer feedback to heart though, and they added the new light setting to this year's version of the decoration.

Like we said, the update is getting a lot of love from shoppers, and they weren't shy about sharing their feelings in the comments on the website.
"It’s back!! If you remember last years, it had very unflattering, bright led lights," one person wrote. "They must have heard all the complaints because that’s not the case this year. I ordered both sizes and they both have that yellow glow as you can probably tell from the pictures. They flicker too. Very happy with my purchase."
Some of the other comments also touch on the lights, while other people were happy with the quality of the item, noting that it appears "well made."
Here's What You Need to Know About Target's Haunted House
People are absolutely obsessing over this redesign, and the company has already sold a few thousand of them since they hit shelves. But, that doesn't mean you're going to be able to just walk into your local Target and grab one for yourself. The popularity of this item is causing it to sell out in certain locations, so you'll want to check Target's website for availability (or to order online) before you head to the store.
