After months of waiting, fans finally saw someone shoot Drew (Cameron Mathison) on General Hospital. The character has been wreaking havoc all over Port Charles for months.
Drew walked around with arrogance and entitlement about him as he destroyed the lives of anyone who got in his way. Seriously, the list of suspects is basically everyone in town.

The preview video for General Hospital teased shots ringing out and Drew's apparent injury. Now, following the most recent episode, we know that is what happened for sure.
In a very Who Shot JR (Larry Hagman) moment, Drew was shot twice at close range as he stood alone in his home. Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) and Trina (Tabyana Ali) were also inside the house in a different room, looking for evidence against Drew when the shots rang out.
It has brought up the question of whether Drew will die. Mathison has been interacting with fans on social media with various replies to comments about his future on the show.
As Parade reported, the actor bluntly told one fan that he was not exiting General Hospital. However, after the preview of Drew’s shooting came out, Mathison had very different answers for fans.
In the comments section of Mathison’s Instagram post promoting his new company, Health 360, fans asked so many Drew questions. Mathison didn’t spill any tea this time but instead kept his answers simple.
“You’ll see” was said more than once, as was the actor leaving the see-no-evil monkey emoji.

Another Instagram post of Mathison’s had a fan in the comments telling another fan to enjoy him on General Hospital because Drew was getting killed. Mathison replied to the comment with prayer emojis.
General Hospital doesn’t comment on an actor's status, and Mathison is keeping fans guessing.
Despite that, it’s a safe bet that Mathison isn’t leaving, and the shooting is simply a storyline dedicated much like who shot EJ (Daniel Feuerriegel) on Days of Our Lives.
However, the show has written the character into a corner. So if Drew survives, a drastic personality change will need to happen for fans to even think about changing their tune about the character.
Think Franco (Roger Howarth) and his brain tumor that made him evil, or perhaps a fan theory that Drew isn’t really Drew will come true.
Remember when Faison was running around wearing a Duke Lavery mask? ??♀️ I kinda hope Drew is really dead and this is an imposter in a mask ???. Peter August? Shiloh? Reveal yourself! ??? #GH pic.twitter.com/6CVwUPyfmt
