Randy Moss knows what is like to play for Bill Belichick, having spent part of his career playing for the New England Patriots. In 2007, he was on the team that finished 18-1, and he had 98 catches for 1,493 yards and 23 touchdowns. The Patriots weren’t known as a deep passing team before Moss got there, but Belichick adjusted to his team and allowed Moss to flourish as a player.
Before the game, Moss made an appearance where he was asked about what his expectations were for Belichick, and he said look for North Carolina to attack deep.
“One thing I expect to see is all three levels of the field first of all,” Moss said. “Him being able to exploit the deep part of the passing field. If TCU gives it to them, I don’t care if they’re backed up, mid-field or red-zone, they’re going to make sure you cover the back end.”

That play set the Tar Heels deep in TCU’s territory, and North Carolina went on and took a 7-0 lead after a run by Caleb Hood.
Lopez won the starting job after transferring from South Alabama, beating out Max Johnson and Bryce Baker.
If Moss is right about his old coach, this won’t be the only time the Tar Heels look to attack the Horned Frogs deep if they get the matchup they like. The game is currently airing on ESPN.
