Robin Wright has no regrets about saying goodbye to America.
The beloved actress, 59, who is best known for her role as Claire Underwood on House of Cards and appears next in The Girlfriend, a six-episode drama for Prime Video, opened up in an interview about moving to England a few years ago.
"I love being in this country," she told The Sunday Times. "There's a freedom of self here. People are so kind. They're living. They're not in the car in traffic, panicked on a phone call, eating a sandwich. That's most of America. Everything's rush, competition and speed."
With everything that's going on in the United States, Wright, who still own a home in Los Angeles, said she's pleased not to have to deal with it every day.
“America is a s---show,” she added.

Wright noted that "he is a sweetheart and just a good, decent adult. He’s a man.”
When it comes to her search for lasting love, the thrice-divorced actress, who has two children with ex-husband Sean Penn, made it clear that she believes Wright is the one.
"It’s liberating to be done," Wright shared. "Be done with searching, looking and getting 60 percent of what you wanted."
The Girlfriend will air exclusively on Prime Video on September 10.
