Chelios has some interesting things to say about his relationships with Adam Sandler and Jeff Blashill and Connor Bedard‘s development. But a couple nuggets late in the piece got my attention. He’s apparently very high on now-Boston University center Sacha Boisvert and, when considering the pipeline of young defensemen, “Chelios is still ‘looking for that guy to be the next [Brent] Seabrook.’” I think Ethan Del Mastro could be the quiet, complementary defenseman who rides shotgun with one of the young Blackhawks puck-moving defensemen and cleans up messes around the net. The Blackhawks have some interesting options in that league, including Marek Vanacker in Brantford and AJ Spellacy in Windsor. But Peters named Jack Pridham with the Kitchener Rangers as one of his players to watch heading into the 2025-26 campaign.After joining the Kitchener Rangers early into the 2024-25 season, Pridham made an instant impact. He posted 54 points in 48 games and registered another 13 in 16 playoff games. Drafted in the third round by the Chicago Blackhawks in 2024, Pridham opted to return to Kitchener this season instead of attending Boston University as previously planned. He could be a major factor in Kitchener’s season.
