Arizona State students set attendance record in season opener

Arizona State students heeded the call from head coach Kenny Dillingham, showing up in record numbers for the football team’s home opener against NAU on Saturday.

According to Arizona State, 14,280 students packed into Mountain America Stadium to set a new record for a student crowd.

Dillingham has been calling to get more fans into the stadium basically since he took over the program.

In his first season in 2023, Dillingham recruited fans for a game against Colorado, which led to back-to-back home sellouts for the first time since 2007.
