Astana, SANA- Jordan’s King Abdullah II Wednesday reiterated the need to de-escalate to de-escalate tensions and restore security and stability across the Middle East.
During his meeting with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the capital, Astana, King Abdullah stressed the need to halt the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip and intensify international response efforts to the humanitarian catastrophe.
“The escalation in the West Bank is deeply concerning,” the King stated, warning against attacks on Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem. He reiterated Jordan’s firm rejection of any attempts to occupy or annex territory in Gaza or the West Bank, or to forcibly displace Palestinian residents.
King Abdullah praised Kazakhstan’s constructive role in promoting peace and stability, saying, “We are committed to working alongside you to address regional and international challenges and contribute to global peace efforts.”
