Summer reading just got more exciting.

On Wednesday, former President Barack Obama shared his annual summer reading list, giving his millions of followers and book lovers a peek into what’s keeping him inspired this season. Known for his thoughtful selections spanning fiction, memoirs and essays, Obama’s recommendations are always highly anticipated, and this summer's picks promise many compelling reads.

"For now, I figured I’d share some of the books I’ve read recently, along with some notes about why I liked them — and why you might, too. Take a look and let me know what I should check out next."
