One New Heights producer fears he may soon be receiving a call from Taylor Swift's legal team following her internet-breaking appearance on her fiancéTravis Kelce's podcast.
The potential for trouble arose during the first follow-up episode, which aired today, Aug. 27, and included a reflection on Swift's interview from not only Travis and Jason Kelce, though to be clear, it's almost certain the concern is simply tongue-in-cheek.
As the hosts and their producers, Brandon Borders and Jake Chatzky, wrapped up a recap of how the record-breaking episode was pulled together, Borders played a snippet of “Fortnight,” presumably from a Tortured Poets Department snow globe.
As her vocals rang out, Jason wondered if they had cleared the copyright for the song, asking, “Are we allowed to play this?”
“I don’t know,” Borders admitted. “[But] she sent it to me. I don’t care.” The rest of the team cackled in response, before Borders added, “Shouldn’t have sent me a gift that plays music!”
“And we’re going to get to meet her legal team so soon,” he quipped in jest. “Can’t wait!”
Borders also admitted that orchestrating the episode had "scared the shit out of [him]," with Travis giving him the shortest phone call to tell him, "Hey, so, she's gonna do it; somebody will call you with details. Bye!"
Jason compared the whole thing to a super secret spy mission, joking, "This message will explode in 15 seconds."
"Yeah, and your phone is being tracked," Borders added on. "They will know if you said something!"
"So I spent a lot of time lying to people," he continued, revealing that his co-producer was even kept in the dark until he was just about to set foot inside Travis' home for the recording, having been lured to Kansas City under the pretense of setting up new equipment for the athlete.

Also on today's episode, Jason broke his silence on his little brother's engagement to the superstar musician, while Travis teased Swifties with a little insight into his favorite track off of Swift's upcoming 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.
“I keep listening to this album, and I know she mentioned that it’s gonna be a lot more pop beats and everything,” he explained, emphasizing how “it’s still so poetic” despite the shift in tone. “Her melodies and her references and stuff; it’s so much fun to listen to.”
