SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- The body of a swimmer who was declared missing at San Francisco's Aquatic Park over the weekend has been recovered. The swimmer was last seen around 10:15 a.m. Saturday.
Rescuers and first responders searched the San Francisco Bay and combed the shoreline in an effort to locate the swimmer before the search was eventually suspended later that day.
On Tuesday, the San Francisco Police Department confirmed it had recovered the body of the swimmer, identified as 35-year-old Nikolas Tomasevic.

The body was recovered as part of a joint effort between the SFPD Marine Unit, SFPD Dive Team and Bomb Squad, and volunteers with the California Recovery Divers.
"We would like to thank the volunteers at California Recovery Divers for their relentless efforts in searching for the missing swimmer," SFPD said.
