In October 2020, long before Swift and Kelce had even met, Makayla Stephens and her husband Nick dressed up as the pop star and NFL tight end for Halloween.
She posted a photo of their costume to Instagram, but it didn't go viral until three years later when Swift and Kelce began dating in 2023. Immediately, fans began crediting the couple with "predicting" the relationship.
"I don’t know any world in which Taylor Swift + Travis Kelce would be in the same room together, but apparently in this one they’re married?" Stephens captioned the post.

On Tuesday, Aug. 26, Swift and Kelce announced they were engaged, and Makayla quickly took to Instagram to share her reaction.
"I'm actually unavailable right now," she wrote, reposting Swift and Kelce's engagement photos to their Instagram Story.
In a second post, she reposted the iconic 2020 photo with the caption, "the prophecy is complete. I can finally rest."
Shortly after Makayla and Nick went viral for manifesting Swift and Kelce's relationship, Lipton Iced Tea thanked the pair by sending them to a Kansas City Chiefs game versus the New York Jets in 2023, which Swift attended.
"There are basically no words to describe how this week has completely flipped our lives upside down in the best way," Makayla wrote at the time on Instagram, addressing the social media frenzy that ensued from her viral post. "I’m so lucky that I got to do it all with my best friend by my side… and hey, seeing Taylor Swift (from a distance) was a bonus, too!"
