The Interstellar actress was nominated by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce in 2025 for her extraordinary work in film. Others among her class included Colin Farrell, Bill Nye, Molly Shannon, Green Day and more.
The Hollywood Walk of Fame, established in 1958, honors celebrities from film, television, music, radio, sports entertainment and theater with stars engraved in the sidewalks along Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street in Los Angeles. It celebrates and honors the artistic achievement and cultural impact of various entertainers, and attracts millions of visitors each year.
To receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, a celebrity must be nominated, often by a fan, studio, or publicist. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s Walk of Fame Committee reviews nominations once a year. If approved, the honoree must agree to attend the unveiling ceremony and pay a sponsorship fee, currently around $75,000.
Last month, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced its Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2026 on July 3, with 35 honorees receiving stars. The list included notable figures such as Miley Cyrus, Demi Moore, Timothée Chalamet, Rachel McAdams, Shaquille O’Neal, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Deepika Padukone and others.
Honorees have two years to schedule their star ceremonies. Busta Rhymes, who was nominated in 2025 for his contributions to hip-hop and music, received his star earlier this month on August 1.

After training at the Juilliard School, Chastain made her debut in 2008 in the film Jolene. Her breakthrough came in 2011 with six films, including The Help,The Tree of Life and Take Shelter, earning her widespread recognition and multiple award nominations.
The 48-year-old actress's dedication to her work led to significant accolades, including an Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in The Eyes of Tammy Faye in 2022. She has also been recognized for her performances in Zero Dark Thirty, Interstellar, The Martian, A Most Violent Year and Molly's Game, among others.
Beyond acting, Chastain has also been a vocal advocate for gender equality and social justice. She co-founded the Time's Up initiative in 2018 to combat harassment and discrimination in the entertainment industry. Her activism extends to supporting women's rights globally, including showing solidarity with Iranian women protesting for their rights.
It was revealed last month that Chastain is currently pursuing a master's degree in public administration at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. The program takes two years, and she is expected to graduate in 2027. Plus, she is currently promoting her latest projects: the Apple TV+ thriller The Savant, premiering September 26, and Dreams, hitting theaters on October 23.
Chastain's official star ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on September 4.
