ORLEANS COUNTY, N.Y. – A woman was arrested Aug. 19 in Orleans County after authorities said she endangered the welfare of two children.
Brianna Button of Holley was accused of giving two 15-year-old boys an unknown substance in the Town of Murray. The boys smoked the substance and became unconscious, officials said.
The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office said Button attempted life-saving measures on one of the boys but left before first responders arrived. A state parole officer in the area was waved down by area residents and provided medical assistance.
Both boys were taken to the hospital and have made a full recovery.
Button now faces charges of child endangerment.
