There's a Blue Bell ice cream recall underway in 16 states because of undeclared almonds, walnuts and pecans on the label of their Moo-llennium Crunch Ice Cream. On brand's website, this flavor is described as a "classic vanilla ice cream with a combination of dark chocolate chunks, creamy caramel chunks, roasted pecans, chopped almonds and walnut pieces." However on the labeling of a limited number of half gallon cartons, the nuts aren't declared.
According to the FDA, half gallons of Moo-llennium Crunch Ice Cream were packaged in a Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough half gallon carton with a Moo-llennium Crunch lid, hence the reason why the nuts aren't declared on the packaging. A consumer could easily pick up a package of this treat thinking that it's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, only to discover it's actually Moo-llennium Crunch.
If you think you may have one of the affected packages, look for this code on the top of the half gallon lid: 061027524.
