“Elsbeth is right there. Not only are we on the same night, it’s the world of law,” Ritter, 45, told Us Weekly in an interview published on Saturday, August 23. “I just think it would be so fun.”
Ritter went on to praise Elsbeth's leading lady Carrie Preston, and said that she is "brilliant."
"I would love to see that Elsbeth energy on an episode of Matlock — or some of us over in an episode of Elsbeth,” he said. “Sometimes they do two episodes of each show where they cross into each other. So that would be so fun. That would be my dream.”
However, Elsbethisn't the only CBS show Ritter sees cross over potential with. “If Tracker ever wants a partner [for Justin Hartley’s character, Colter href=" parade.com/news/tracker-producer-teases-fan-favorite-characters-future-after-cast-shakeup"], maybe Julian leaves the firm and he starts a new life,” he jokingly said. “Just two rugged guys.”
Ritter made his Matlock debut during the season 1 premiere in 2024. He stars on the legal drama as Julian, a senior partner at Jacobson Moore who navigated a divorce from Olympia (Skye P. Marshall) in the early episodes.

The cast is currently filming season 2, and Ritter promised the upcoming season will showcase a new side to his character.

Now, with the affair coming out — and then with the other big reveal coming out — he’s in a new boat,” he said. “There is no pretending with [his ex-wife] Olympia anymore. Or compartmentalizing and putting [things] away in a dark and shameful drawer.”
