ONE of WWE’s most iconic performers will have their farewell match after a stellar 24-year career.
John Cena, 48, will take to the ring for his final WWE match on December 13, it was confirmed by NBC Sports.
Cena’s retirement match will be aired exclusively on streaming service Peacock as part of a new shakeup to the way WWE is broadcast.
At present, there has been no confirmation of who Cena will be fighting in his final match.
While, despite there being no official word, it is expected that the match will take place in or around Boston, bowing out in the same state as his hometown of West Newbury, Massachusetts.
WWE announced its premium live events will begin airing on ESPN platforms earlier this month.
The change will begin next month with Wrestlepalooza on September 20.
Premier live events previously aired on Peacock, but that will change following the Clash in Paris on August 31.
However, WWE have announced that Peacock will now air Saturday Night’s Main Event shows that were previously on NBC.
John Cena is currently on a farewell tour, after announcing that 2025 would be his final year with WWE, having started out in 2001.
