€219.6m is the equivalent of 2.7% of the company’s total sales. That’s up from 2.2% in 2023 and 2.5% in 2021.
The company said growing demand for digitalisation and decarbonisation required faster technological advancements.
The spend is part of HCM’s 2024 “Landcros” concept, which sees a transition from equipment ownership to usage, and better operating performance during a machine’s life cycle.
At the Bauma 2025 trade show HMC and Granstudio unveiled the Landcros One excavator.
Francesco Quaranta, HMC’s president, said: “Landcros One is more than just a machine. It’s our commitment to deliver solutions beyond machinery in a new construction ecosystem.”
