Almost one week away from the release of author Lownie's nonfiction Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, the new book will see a revised reprint, as reported by People magazine.
According to the publication, future versions of Lownie's book, itself centered around the controversial Prince Andrew, will remove a key section alleging that disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein introduced Donald Trump to his current wife, Melania Trump.
The changes come a few short weeks away from Hunter Biden made similar claims in a high-profile interview with Andrew Callaghan. As reported by the BBC, the First Lady's lawyer, Alejandro Brito, reached out to Biden on August 6, demanding that the former president's son "immediately retract the false, defamatory, disparaging and inflammatory statements made about Mrs. Trump."
If Biden refused to retract his statements and apologize to the current First Lady, Brito said Melania would sue Biden for $1 billion, allowing her to "recover the overwhelming financial and reputational harm that you have caused her to suffer."
According toThe Hill, Melania's legal threats against Biden was done with the full blessing and support of her husband, President Trump.
“Well, I said go forward, you know, I’ve done pretty well on these lawsuits lately, and I said, go forward with it,” Trump said in an interview with Fox News Radio, per The Hill.
In that same interview, Trump also disputed Biden's claims, stating that "another person" introduced him to Melania, rather than Epstein.
“It was another person, actually," the president said. "I did meet through another person. But it wasn’t Jeffrey Epstein."
Following the First Lady's legal threats, Biden once again appeared on Callaghan's YouTube channel. Asked if he'd like a chance to apologize for his disputed claims, the 55-year-old Biden bluntly responded, “Uh, f**k that. That’s not going to happen."
