Written by Mike White, The White Lotus is an anthology series, meaning each season features a new set of characters and a new location, but they all center around the fictional "White Lotus" luxury resort chain. The series explores the dysfunctional dynamics of wealthy guests and the resort staff, often with dark undertones and themes.

Though the duo did not have many scenes together in the show, the two appeared on the third season of HBO Max's hit TV series, which was set in Thailand. Coon played Laurie, a member of a trio of toxic girl friends (Leslie Bibb and Michelle Monaghan) vacationing together. Meanwhile, Schwarzenegger played the cocky Saxon Ratliff, a wealthy and problematic young man visiting with his family from North Carolina.

Coon also posted the news on her X account on Wednesday morning by reposting an article written by The New York Times. Schwarzenegger then commented on her tweet eight hours after it was shared, writing, "This is awesome Carrie! Super excited for this."

After earning his much-deserved attention for his role in The White Lotus, the 31-year-old actor is set to appear in the upcoming film Love of Your Life alongside Margaret Qualley. The son of actor and politician Arnold Schwarzenegger has also expressed interest in taking on the lead in Luca Guadagnino’s planned American Psycho adaptation. Beyond acting, he co-founded the wellness brand MOSH with his mother, Maria Shriver and continues modeling for major brands. On the personal side, he’s engaged to model and longtime girlfriend Abby Champion, with wedding plans underway.

Bug will begin its performances on Dec. 17 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre. Meanwhile, fans can watch Coon and Schwarzenegger on Season 3 of The White Lotus on HBO Max.
