And after sharing a heartbreaking message for his siblings earlier this month, Collin is now speaking out about his mother's relationship with one of her own siblings: Kevin and his wife Jodi. Kate had allegedly been estranged from the couple for many years after they expressed their concern about the impact of reality TV on the children's mental health and privacy.
On TikTok, a fan recently asked Kate if she had made amends with Kevin and Jodi and she replied "Yep! ❤️" — but Collin says that isn't the case.
"If you guys know, back in the early days of the show, Kevin and Jodi were concerned for my siblings and I on TV and everything and just how things were going. They did speak out on our behalf," Collin shared on a TikTok live stream, adding that it was "pretty rough" between Kate and her siblings.
He added, "I saw an article come up that she had made amends with Kevin and Jodi and then I talked to my dad and he's like, 'No, I talk with them and they did not speak to her at all.'"
Collin added that his mom isn't close with any of her siblings, which makes him "upset" as he doesn't like to feel as though he's doing the same things to his own brothers and sisters.
"I do hope one day my siblings and I will get to talk," Collin concluded.
Collin's estranged siblings have not yet spoken out about reconnecting with him.
