Noel Gallagher has named River Plate’s ground in Argentina as the venue Oasis are most excited to play next.
The iconic guitarist joined talkSPORT on Tuesday to give his first interview on the the nation’s most talked about musical reunion of the century.
Having ended a 16-year feud with his brother Liam, their comeback tour of the UK and Ireland has become a cultural phenomenon.
Oasis are now set for shows in Canada, the USA and Mexico before returning to Wembley Stadium in September.
Gallagher and co. will then play gigs in South Korea, Japan and Australia before ending their tour in South America.
It is in that continent where Oasis will perform at a ‘special place’ for the band.
Before shows in Chile and Brazil conclude the tour, the group are scheduled for two nights at the Estadio Monumental in Buenos Aires, home of iconic Argentine club River Plate.
Die-hard Man City fan and avid talkSPORT listener Gallagher did not hesitate to name that stadium when asked which venue he is looking forward to playing most out of those still to come.
The musician told Drive: “The River Plate Stadium in Buenos Aires in November.
“It’s the second last show and we’ve played there a couple of times.
“The Argentinians are without doubt in the top five places for us to play in the world and it’s the furthest away from Ireland and Manchester.
“Everybody is looking forward to River Plate because it’s a special, special, special place for us.”

“Every night is the crowd’s first night, so every night has got that kind of same energy to it.
“It’s been truly amazing. I’m not usually short for words but I can’t really articulate it at the minute.”
