On Monday morning, a countdown appeared on the 35-year-old singer’s website, set to end at 2 p.m. ET. Unlike the sparkly orange background that teased the announcement of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, last Monday, this countdown featured a glittering violet backdrop — sparking speculation and frenzy among fans.
Though many were expecting the announcement of a lead single, right when the countdown ended, Swift instead announced that two limited editions of her album were coming to vinyl. Her newest and limited release, "The Life of a Showgirl: The Shiny Bug Vinyl Collection," comes in two versions: a violet shimmery vinyl and a wintergreen & onyx marble vinyl.
