Several cats are still missing after a car crashed into a Stanislaus County animal rescue over the weekend.
The ASTRO Foundation in Oakdale, a non-profit animal rescue focusing on cats and dogs, said Sunday that a car had crashed into their facility.
Exactly what led up to the crash is unclear, but the vehicle ended up completely embedded in N. 5th Avenue building.
No injuries were reported by staff and volunteers at the rescue.
The rescue said six cats they were caring for escaped from the facility due to the crash. Four cats remain missing as of Monday.
A donor is offering a $100 reward for each cat to be returned, the rescue said.
