Westminster police are searching Monday for a hit-and-run driver after an early morning crash sent one woman to the hospital.

Officers responded to the hit-and-run at the intersection of 92nd Avenue and Westminster Boulevard just after 4:30 a.m. Monday, according to a news release from the Westminster Police Department.

Paramedics took a motorcyclist, an unidentified woman, to the hospital with serious injuries, police said. The driver of another involved vehicle fled the scene.

Police found the vehicle abandoned in a parking lot at Harlan Street and West Central Avenue, less than half a mile south of the crash site, according to the release.

Officers are still searching for the driver, police said. No suspects had been publicly identified or arrested Monday morning.
