Kyleigh Cohil from Longwood, Florida has announced her commitment to continue her academic and athletic careers at Centre College beginning in the 2025-2026 school year.

Cohil swims for Patriot Aquatics out of Longwood, Florida. Last fall, she finished her senior year competing for Lake Brantley High School. In November, she swam a lifetime best in the 100 breast with a 1:10.01 to finish 4th at the FHSAA Region 1 Championship. She also was 16th in the 200 IM with a 2:24.11.
Cohil’s Best SCY Times Are:
100 breast: 1:10.01 200 breast: 2:32.79 200 free: 2:04.74 500 free: 5:31.03Cohil will travel north to Centre College, located in Danville, Kentucky. The women captured the 2025 Southern Athletic Association Championship with 1000 points, finishing just ahead of Rhodes College that had 971.5 points. Callie West led the way for Centre, winning the 50 free (23.57), 100 free (51.22), and 100 fly (55.36). West just finished her senior season so the team will have big shoes to fill.
Based on her best times, Cohil adds depth to the program. Her best time in the 100 breast would have won the ‘B’ final while her best time in the 200 breast would have been 10th. Centre College had three ‘A’ finalists in the 100 breast and two in the 200 breast.
Cohil will arrive this fall as a member of the class of 2029 along with Caroline Ellis, Kate Hoffman, Mikayla Pruett, Vreni Reichard, Joleigh Buckingham, and Ava Gates. Gates is also a breaststroker.
