Tourney Time: Chicago Bulls Drop Dates of Four NBA Cup Games

The Chicago Bulls have officially announced four games on their 2025-26 calendar.

Earlier this offseason, the NBA revealed the six different groups for the upcoming NBA Cup. The 15 teams in each conference are split up into three groups of five. Then, starting in late October, teams will play each of their fellow group members once for a chance to advance to the Knockout Round. The four teams left standing will head to Las Vegas for a chance to take home the trophy and a $500,000+ cash prize for each player.

The Chicago Bulls were handed an entirely new set of challengers in this year’s annual contest: the Knicks, Bucks, Heat, and Hornets. While we have known about these teams’ placement in Group C for months, the exact date of each matchup had yet to be released … until now!

    Chicago Bulls NBA Cup Dates

The Chicago Bulls will tip off the NBA Cup in spooky fashion! Their first Group Play meeting will come at the United Center against the New York Knicks on Halloween night at 7:00 p.m. CT. The next three games will be spread throughout November.

    Here is the complete schedule:

    Oct. 31 – vs. Knicks (7:00 p.m. CT)Nov. 7 – @ Bucks (7:00 p.m. CT)Nov. 21 – vs. MIA (7:00 p.m. CT)Nov. 28 – @ Hornets (6:30 p.m. CT)

A Bulls-Knicks series is always bound to draw a raucous crowd, and I expect nothing less with an NBA Cup win at stake. Chicago also fared surprisingly well against New York last season, stealing two of the three matchups. One of those victories came in blowout fashion (139-126) on Derrick Rose night, and this also happened to be the Knicks’ most recent visit to the Windy City. In other words, expect them to show up with a chip on their shoulder!

Following an always-hostile trip to Milwaukee, the Bulls will have their own chance at redemption. While it’s unclear if this will be the team’s first regular-season meeting with Miami, each one of these battles has held a little extra meaning the past few years. The Bulls and Heat have been neck-and-neck as they attempt to fight their way out of mediocrity. More specifically, Miami has gotten the best of the Bulls in three consecutive Play-In Tournaments. The most recent was a 109-90 demolition in front of the Chicago faithful.

Nevertheless, the Bulls’ best chance at a victory may not come until their final Group Play game against the rebuilding Hornets. And, if that does happen to be the case, they will miss out on Round 2. The organization has yet to make an appearance in the tournament’s Knockout Round, which features the winner of each group and two wild-card teams (the second-best team in each conference).
