When is Gamescom 2025? Dates confirmed
Gamescom 2025 takes place from 20th August and runs until 24th August.
Gamescom has often taken place in August, and for 2025, it's no different.
The now traditional Opening Night Live warmup show containing world premieres, announcements and trailers from the biggest names in gaming will take place on 19th August 2025.
Gamescom 2025 is taking place in Cologne, Germany, at the Cologne Fair exhibition centre.
The centre has been the location of Gamescom since its debut in 2009.
Sixteen years later, Gamescom has become the biggest gaming convention in the world, with hundreds of thousands of attendees paying a visit.
How to get tickets for Gamescom 2025
Unfortunately, at the time of writing tickets for Gamescom 2025 are now sold out.
You can currently purchase tickets for Opening Night Live for 34€, however.
Be aware that while tickets are available for the Gamescom Congress, this is a separate event from Gamescom itself, featuring talks and conferences largely targeted at games industry professionals.

There is a LOT to look forward to at Gamescom 2025, with some of the biggest developers and publishers in the world coming to the show.
Xbox will be there, showing all the likes of Hollow Knight: Silksong, Borderlands 4, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Cronos: The New Dawn, Invincible VS and even the upcoming ROG Xbox Ally X.
Nintendo will be there too, also with Silksong, as well as Elden Ring, Metroid Prime 4, Pokémon Legends: Z-A and more.
