CABAZON, Calif. (KUNA) – Un conductor fue arrestado hoy tras huir a pie del lugar de un choque entre dos vehículos en Cabazon, informaron las autoridades.
El accidente se reportó poco antes de la 1:30 p. m. del lunes en la intersección de Bonita Avenue y Orange Street, según la Patrulla de Carreteras de California (CHP).
Con la asistencia de los agentes del sheriff del condado de Riverside, el sospechoso, cuyo nombre no se dio a conocer, fue detenido bajo sospecha de un delito menor de atropello y fuga, informó la CHP.
No se aclaró de inmediato si el otro conductor resultó herido.
Se cree que el alcohol o las drogas no fueron factores en el accidente, que continúa bajo investigación, indicó la CHP.
