A woman was fatally struck by vehicles when she exited a car on the Santa Ana (5) Freeway in Tustin, authorities said Sunday.
It was not immediately clear if the victim fell, was pushed or exited the vehicle voluntarily.
The fatality occurred at about 10 p.m. Saturday on the southbound freeway at the Tustin Ranch Road off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The car was described as a gray Toyota Prius.
A representative from the Orange County coroner’s office was dispatched to the scene at 10:26 p.m. and all lanes of traffic were re-opened at 12:59 a.m.
