Jason Priestley captured the hearts of fans while portraying Brandon Walsh on Beverly Hills, 90210, though it was revealed he actually played a second character on the drama by using heavy prosthetics.
During the August 1 episode of the "90210MG" podcast, Jennie Garth and podcast producer Amy Sugarman looked back on the season 7, episode 20, episodes titled, “With This Ring.” The episode featured Brandon arguing with his girlfriend, Tracy Gaylian (Jill Novick), when she found out he still had the engagement ring he bought for Kelly (Garth). Following the fight, Brandon sold the ring and bought a new piece of jewelry for Tracy.
In addition to starring as Brandon, Priestley, 55, also appeared in the episode as the jeweler named Mr. Freudenberg. He used a heavy accent to hide his identity, as well as wore prosthetics to appear older.

“Be transparent, because you’re messing it up,” Garth said of her character, who she portrayed for all ten seasons of the show. “Now he’s going to go back inside. He’s going to sell the ring, and he’s going to buy Tracy a little bracelet. And then you bought the ring, and are we to assume you wear that now every day, and no one's like, ‘Hey, what's on that chain?’ What?”
