The Starlight Children's Foundation announced on Tuesday, August 5, that it is bringing together three legendary horror movie stars for a charity competition that celebrates the most iconic horror films of all time and raises money for "seriously ill children" at the same time.
The competition is called Face of Halloween, and it is being hosted by none other than the original Scream Queen herself, Jamie Lee Curtis.
"A genre-defining scream queen since her breakout role in Halloween (1978), Curtis has spent decades at the center of horror cinema. But beyond her iconic on-screen status, she's a fierce advocate for children's health and a long-time supporter of Starlight," reads the official announcement.
"Starlight helps children face real fears with strength and joy. I'm honored to help shine a light on their work," said Curtis in a statement.
Curtis is the Charity Host, and she's "thrilled" to be a part of this spooky spectacle.
"The fog has rolled in, the full moon is high and you know what that means — the search for the next Face of Halloween has officially begun. I'm thrilled to be part of this year's frightfully fun campaign where one lucky ghoul will walk away with $13,000 and a killer spread in Rue Morgue magazine. Yes, that's right — screams and stardom," said Curtis in the announcement video.
"And here's the part that really gives me the chills in the best way: this campaign supports the Starlight Children's Foundation, helping deliver happiness to seriously ill kids and their families. Now that's horror with heart," she continued.
Joining Curtis is Matthew Lillard as the Cinematic Host. Lillard has starred in such memorable films as Scream, Five Nights at Freddy's, Thirteen Ghosts and the beloved live-action Scooby-Doo franchise.

"Lillard brings his trademark energy, insider perspective, and fan-favorite status to the Face of Halloween experience. Through behind-the-scenes commentary and his infectious love of the genre, Lillard helps celebrate everything that makes Halloween a one-of-a-kind cultural phenomenon," says Colossal, the company behind the competition.
Finally, Kane Hodder, famous for playing Jason Voorhees in the Friday the 13th franchise, returns as the competition's Supernatural Host. The winner of the competition and one other horror movie fan will be selected to join Hodder in person for a paranormal investigation.
The winner will also meet Curtis and Lillard, receive $13,000 prize money, and be featured in a professional photoshoot and article in Rue Morgue, a horror publication.
The competition is held entirely online, so anyone can participate. Get all the details here.
"Because this Halloween, the bravest thing you can do… is show up" for sick kids. The Starlight Children's Foundation's mission is to "deliver happiness to seriously ill children and their families through vital programs that impact millions of kids annually."
