DENVER (KDVR) — A woman was killed and another is in the hospital after an overnight shooting in Aurora, police said.
Officers just after 3 a.m. Sunday responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment in the 1000 block of Cimarron Circle where they found two women with gunshot wounds, according to an Aurora police press release.
One woman, a 26-year-old, died at the scene. The second, a 30-year-old, was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police believe based on the preliminary investigation the shooting happened from a domestic violence incident between "known parties." The suspect left the scene before police arrived, and police have not arrested anyone.
