The state, Hammadi argued, is using these operations to demonstrate its ability to enforce the law and hold perpetrators accountable. However, he stressed that real stability can only be achieved if these cases are transferred to a transparent judicial process—this alone can ensure justice and prevent a return to chaos.
Coastal Investigation Report
The arrests follow the final report issued by the investigative committee on the coastal events. The report documented the deaths of 1,426 people and accused 265 members of rebel armed groups and 298 government personnel of committing widespread violations.
The report was officially submitted to President Ahmad al-Sharaa and included lists of suspects’ names, although these have not been made public.
