The minor was allegedly abducted and repeatedly raped by a 19-year-old youth, who held her captive during this period.
The girl disappeared from her home on July 16. After initial searches by her family, a missing person’s report was filed on July 20, prompting police to register a kidnapping case and launch a search operation.
Acting on a tip-off, authorities raided the house, rescuing the girl and detaining the accused.
The survivor told police that the youth abducted her and subjected her to sexual assault over the two weeks. The accused is currently under interrogation. The girl has undergone a medical examination, and her statement will be recorded before a magistrate.
Based on the girl’s statement, the accused has been detained and is being interrogated, according to the police.
