A man was shot by at least one Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputy on Thursday afternoon, authorities said. His condition is not yet known.
Shortly after 4 p.m., LASD homicide investigators responded to the deputy-involved shooting on the 16000 block of Sigman Street in Hacienda Heights, according to a news release
After shooting the man, deputies gave him medical aid. LA County Fire Department workers arrived and provided the man with additional medical care before transporting him to a local hospital.
It is currently not known what led to the man being shot. It is also not known how many times, and where, the man was shot. The man’s identity has not been released.
