Kansas City Chiefs forced into another emergency signing after training camp injury nightmare

THE Kansas City Chiefs have signed a new offensive talent to deal with multiple training camp injuries.

This week, Xavier Worthy, Skyy Moore, and Hollywood Brown went down with injuries.

Worthy went down after taking a shot to the head during practice.

He has been entered into the concussion protocol and will be out of practice for a week or so.

Worthy had a successful rookie season with the Chiefs, racking up 742 total yards with nine touchdowns.

He also performed well in the playoffs, scoring another touchdown.

Moore tweaked his hamstring in practice and Brown went down with an ankle injury.

While the injuries look like they will be resolved before the start of the season, the Kansas City Chiefs aren’t taking any chances.

The Chiefs especially need wide receiver help as Rashee Rice is expected to miss the first half of the season with a suspension.

Kansas City hit the free agency market to bring in wide receiver Kwamie Lassiter II to help soften this burden.

He began his NFL career as an undrafted free agent, signing with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2022.

He spent two seasons in Cincinnati, mostly on their practice squad.

Lassiter appeared in two NFL games with the Bengals, recording one reception for two yards.

After his time with the Bengals, Lassiter played for the Memphis Showboats in the UFL before signing with the Chiefs.

He pulled in 257 yards and a touchdown in the UFL

Lassiter’s dad was a successful safety in the NFL, playing from 1995 to 2004.

He spent time with the Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Chargers, and Los Angeles Rams in those years.
