(KRON) – A person was shot and killed near an illegal Oakland nightclub early Sunday morning, said the Oakland Police Department.
Oakland police were alerted to a shooting in the 900 block of 85th Avenue due to a ShotSpotter activation around 3:45 a.m.
Arriving officers located a person who was suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics were called to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

OPD said they also found an operating illegal nightclub. Officers detained dozens of people at the illegal nightclub.
