Man fatally stabbed after argument in Greater Grand Crossing

A 71-year-old man has died after he was stabbed during an argument in Greater Grand Crossing.

According to Chicago police, the man became involved in a verbal altercation with another individual in the 100 block of West 63rd Street at approximately 10:17 p.m. Saturday.

    During that altercation, the suspect in the case pulled out a sharp object and stabbed the victim in the abdomen, police said.

    The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

    Chicago police arriving on the scene took the suspect into custody, and charges are pending in the case.
