Two people were killed and 12 others injured on Friday, following a collision between a microbus and a loader vehicle on the Marsa Himeira-Shalateen road in the southern Red Sea governorate.
Major General Hassan Abdelaziz, the Red Sea Security Director, received a notification from the emergency operations room regarding the accident. Ambulance teams were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Investigations revealed that all the injured are from Aswan governorate. They were transported to Shalateen Central Hospital for necessary treatment and first aid.
A formal report of the incident has been filed, and relevant authorities have been notified to initiate investigations, determine the cause of the accident, and place the two bodies in the hospital morgue pending further inquiry.
