The JV will design and build a 7.3km section on the railway, linking Hong Kong’s Hung Shui Kiu to the Qianhai special economic zone in Shenzhen, with a journey time of 15 minutes when completed.
The full 18.1km link will have a 10.8km Shenzhen section.
The aim of the link is to create a "one-hour living circle” in the Greater Bay Area.
