Satou Sabally earned the invite to her third WNBA All-Star Game in her first season with the Phoenix Mercury.
The question is: Will she play?
Sabally has sat out the last four games with an ankle injury and posted on social media Wednesday that she will be shut down for the game, which tips off at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
A day prior, she said she was still trying to get healthy enough to play.
“I’ll see what the trainers will say, but it’s definitely the plan (to play),” she said on Arizona Sports’ Burns and Gambo on Tuesday.

Sabally is ranked No. 6 in the league in scoring, averaging 19.1 points per game, which would set a new career high for the forward who was drafted with the No. 2 overall pick in 2020 out of Oregon.
She was expected to be joined by Mercury teammate Alyssa Thomas in Indianapolis for the All-Star Game festivities.
It’s also Thomas’ first year in the desert.
Sabally says the way the team was put together is helping both of them thrive.
“The strength of the team is really coming into set structures that really allowed us to bloom into the players that we are,” Sabally said of her new surroundings.
Sabally was chosen as a starter and taken with the No. 7 pick of the All-Star Draft by Team Clark, while Thomas was drafted by Team Collier.
